Product info

What are your tea sachets made of?

No plastic here peeps!

Our sachets are made from 100% plant based materials that are completely biodegradable and compostable.

They are not made from nylon or any other petroleum based compound you've recently read about in the news!

Thread is made from the plants and the thread is then woven on a large loom (not unlike a cotton material).

Plant based woven material is about 5 times more expensive than nylon so that's why some tea companies choose the cheaper option.

Because the sachets are 100% plant based (vs. plastic), they are more delicate

so please be gentle when pulling on the paper tab so the tea bag doesn’t rip open.

Do you sell your tea loose or only in plant-based sachets?

I now offer my tea in both formats - loose leaf & sachets!

I made the strategic decision when I first launched my business to offer luxury whole leaf tea in safe, plant-based sachets.

In the past, I had struggled to find exceptional quality tea in a convenient sachet, so I wanted to make this option available for other busy women.

Since then, I've expanded my offering so customers can choose their preferred format.

Where does your tea come from?

Our collection of luxury tea is ethically produced, 100% natural and sourced from the top tea gardens around the world.

All our tea comes from estates certified by ETP (Ethical Tea Partnership). ETP is an organization within the tea industry that seeks to

better the lives of workers and their families in tea producing countries by ensuring fair compensation and safe working conditions.

What's in your tea?

100% Natural Ingredients & Flavours

The better question is what isn't in our tea - *Gluten Free *Dairy Free *Nut Free *Sugar Free *No Artificial Colours *No Artificial Flavours.

Natural flavouring oils (vs. crystals) provide a clean and true character and don't leave a nasty aftertaste like artificial flavouring.

Just like food, you should always check your tea ingredients because you might be surprised to see what some bigger brands put in their products!

When does tea expire?

There is an approximate 2 year shelf-life (once opened), due to the biodegradability of the tea bag material.

Tea doesn't really "go bad" (unless it gets moldy), but similar to spices, after a few years it starts to lose essential oils and become less flavourful.

You can still drink it, but it won't be as tasty and aromatic as when it was fresh.

Do you blend your own tea?

No, I don't.

Although I'm a Certified Tea Sommelier trained in blending, I've chosen to work with Master Tea Blenders who specialize in this particular art form.

We work closely to create delicious blends designed for the specific needs and preferences of my customers.

Is your outer packaging recyclable?

No, unfortunately it isn't.

When I first launched my tea business in May 2018, my number one priority was ensuring the safety and freshness of my tea.

At the time, "eco-friendly" pouches had not proven to have the same durability or longevity as the pouch I ultimately chose.

Thankfully, packaging technology is improving to meet consumer demand, so my goal is to eventually transition to an eco-friendly pouch.
